    1. Amusant, clair, instructif, bien construit. De la positivité brute. Ce bouquin fait litteralement exploser les doutes et les inquiétudes.Je le recommande à n'importe qui qui a un jour mis des baskets et s'est dit qu'iel pourrait courrir.

    2. Yesterday after following the program in the book, I completed a half marathon. :-) It totally worked. I trusted what Bingham and Hadfield said, and even when I didn't think I could do it, I followed their advice, and it worked.I picked up this book ONLY because I like John Bingham. (Now I like his wife's voice too.) I didn't intend to do any actual marathoning. But about halfway through, I thought, "I could do this," and I looked at the training program to discourage myself. Instead, it still l [...]

    3. As much a guide to the mental (one might even say spiritual) as physician challenge of long-distance running, this invaluable book offers a realistic, workable and above all else healthy plan for joining the ranks of those who have reached - and possibly completed - a half or full marathon. The authors offer a comprehensive guide to the sport, ranging from the physiology of stretching to the priority one should assign getting in line for the portable lavatory at the race site on race day. Admi [...]

    4. Update 5/1/14 - I ran a 10K 3 weeks ago and a Half Marathon last weekend using this books training plan and advice. I used a couple of other books as well as I tend to draw what works from any source I can get it. It worked great (followed about 90% of the plan but made adjustments as needed for life) and I came in at 2:32 which I'm very happy with for a first half marathon. I always thought running was for other people but this proves anyone can run if they have the physical capability and the [...]

    5. I love Bingham and consider myself a fellow penguin. Great thing about Bingham and his wife, Jenny, is that they're inspirational, motivating and incredibly helpful for those of us who aren't elite runners, and never will be. For those of us who feel comfortable in t-shirts that say things like "If found on the ground, drag over the finish line," and want to run a marathon, this is a great book. I'm 66 and running my first one in a few months!

    6. Absolutely love this book and have recommended it to others who have found it very helpful from the start. Valuable information provided on different strategies to successfully completing a marathon, half, or smaller race. Whether you walk, run, or do a combination of both, the authors do an Awesome job at letting you know that it's "all good!" Marathoning for Mortals provides guidance for every step of your race from "thought to finish." I started running late at age 62, and I've always wante [...]
